Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu was born in Madras known as Chennai at present in Tamil Nadu India on 9th August 1975.

He was studied from St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai. The actor Karthik was his schoolmate.

He was graduated from Loyola College in Chennai with bachelor’s degree in commerce.

Mahesh Babu debut movie as a child actor was Needa.

In the year 1999 Mahesh Babu made his debut movie as a lead actor with co star Preity Zinta name of this movie is Raja kumarudu. After that he worked in some movies.
