The much-anticipated Telugu-language action spy thriller Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, has been officially rescheduled to release on July 4, 2025. Initially scheduled for release on May 30, the film was delayed because unexpected national developments disrupted its promotional campaign.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, known for his work on Jersey, Kingdom features Deverakonda in the lead role of Suri. The film also stars Bhagyashri Borse and Satyadev in pivotal roles. Backed by producers S. Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Creations, the film is intended to be the opening chapter of a two-part series.
Anirudh Ravichander has composed the film’s soundtrack, marking his debut collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda. The film’s teaser, released on February 12, 2025, features voiceovers by prominent actors N. T. Rama Rao Jr. in Telugu, Suriya in Tamil, and Ranbir Kapoor in Hindi, indicating a pan-Indian appeal.
In a recent interview, Deverakonda described Kingdom as “an action drama like the old days,” emphasizing its emotional depth and classic storytelling approach.
Kingdom is set to release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages, with digital distribution rights acquired by Netflix.
